Oh social media people!!!!!
There is a trend.... an annoying trend ... of 'vague mentions'
Where people on Facebook/twitter/instagram say things like
I am so busy with so many busy things in my business.
I am so mad. you know who you are.
I have been working hard on something! but cant say what.
So glad I have some real friends at least.
I've got so many lovely clients/friends, they know who they are.
Thats it my day is so bad.
You know what... actually say it.
Say nothing or say something. No more vague mentions. no more hints, no more pretending, no more passive aggressive comments.
No more pretending you are soooo busy you just cant stop to explain - but you are on Facebook talking about it ? -
If you'd like to call someone out, - tell them; not everyone else other than them. If you have a problem - might not be a problem if you say so to the person rather than to Facebook. --I know; whole new idea.
If you are lonely say so, if you are jealous say so. if you are tired say so. If you want to write something like 'thats it my day is so bad' please, for love of all things possible, tell us WHY in the same sentence, don't make us fish. We'd like to empathise, we really would, but if you just do the vague hints and cryptic mentions all we actually do is roll our eyes.
And the phrase 'its not a bad life just a bad day' is always worth remembering. Pity parties are not fun. Neither are horrible digs at nobody in particular - you do realise all your friends online are thinking what the..? is that me she means?
With that said - if you think this post is about you... it probably is :) ;) but - I've said it!
