hey mr birdie...
October - thank you and goodnight

the good, the bad and the coffee.

Lets start with the bad.  Whilst out in the little woods we own I was busy pulling down lots of dead branches making sure nothing would fall on the goats, who move in there tomorrow. You'd be amazed how many dead branches just hang on trees, not quite on, not falling down either. can't have a large branch falling on a fluffy goat right? Three quarters of the way into the woods a branch not only fell down when I pulled, but smacked me right in the eyeball too. Tree karma I think. Luckily I can now see, and luckily the girls and a really unhelpful dog were there to lead me, and my one good eye, back home!

The good has been plentiful today, eye incident aside.  The newly fenced goat area is almost done, and the newly fenced back garden is done. Tis means the goats - and the chickens- have  safe areas to roam this winter. Might think its a bit odd to get excited about fencing butI suppose its more the coming together of plans really that makes my day. All this lovely safe space for my herd.

It was a good day for getting things done too, the computer work literally halved today as I worked through a bundle of jobs. And the ginger pony and I rode much further than before and explored a new route in glorious and unseasonably warm blue sky weather.
The girls and I watched both the Addams family movies tonight;  good to chuckle and all have the same sense of humour...

Tiny bit more bad; Wasted a while online trying to order fun slogan t-shirts from an American company who promised me free shipping to the uk.  Ages choosing for a gift and looking through the whole site to find out it takes 20-30 days to arrive. What?? This why Amazon Prime and I are friends. 24 hours and its here. I think its quicker to design my own....

And the coffee? Well a new bean to cup monster machine arrived in our house this week. House smells good and the coffee is lovely. win win...

We have the maddest, busiest week ahead, but thankfully its half term to, so at least school runs are out  and the girls can help with everything ;) woohoo!

Life's good here at the barn. :)
