At times like this, you really need the macro lens approach to life- notice the details
because, frankly, the 'wide angle' approach to life wouldnt work here. That would of shown you the wet, wet, wet mud, the brown leaves everywhere, the neglected weeding, the broken fence.
You didnt need to see that. Lordy, I didnt need to see that.
Keeping my macro lens perspective all day I think...;)

Nine days til our Christmas Cd breaks out in the car.
Starbucks red cups have been here over a week now.
My hand designed Christmas cards arrived back from the printers today. Oh my oh my. am I glad I used a new company this year. WAIT til you see them!
And the German Christmas market opened in Town today.
This little collection of wooden huts, holding traditional - some more traditional than others- european goodies opens up for a few weeks before Christmas every year.
It marks the season for us in our house. The stall holders obviously add their ferry crossing to every.single.item on their stalls because its way over priced, but the smell of candy nuts and gluhwein is just divine. We love the cuckoo clock stall most. We cant afford one and the guy running it is, it has to be said, the most cranky man out there. But the weather houses and clocks are lovely.
You can now have a hot chocolate in Pret and watch the festive market around you :)

Its really really windy around here. Last night it was sounding pretty ferocious. This morning it was still blowing a gale. So I took pictures of it :) Nothing like 'motion blur' in the morning! ;)
In fact, the tree that I took 'before the storm' pictures of here no longer has that mass of yellow leaves, well, not many of them anyhow!
Nor does my little red tree.!

The noise as the wind whips thro this huge tree is LOUD! I'm no good with heights but it towers above all the house and flats around here.
...and bends alarmingly in the wind! eeeek!!
The forecast for the next few days is more of the same. I'm starting to think I might be taking pictures of fallen trees and branches in the garden next!

the perfect Polaroid for your iphone. excellent contrasty pics but most of all the developing noise, plus the fact you 'shake it' to hurry the picture... retro heaven! I dont use my 'normal' iPhone camera anymore...

There is always this moment of fabulous light just before a storm or heavy rain. The deep grey skies seem to trap bright, luminous pockets of sunlight down here, beneath the clouds.
I get very excited about this magical light. I am found standing in the garden/common/park/forest before rain storms taking pictures. Yes, really.
It does occur to me I could post just one picture of 'before the rain'.
But... I've never been much of a one picture person have I ? :)

Ah yes, a sneak preview of the baby photo shoot I did.
these two monkeys are related, they are cousins... but they would not sit together for a picture. Oh no. Unless I wanted them screaming...so we went for individual shoots that happened to be at the same time ;) These are a few of my favourites. Altho the 'no way are we sitting together' out takes are some of my favourites too!!
