List 7 things about me. 

er.. I cant promise they are interesting...but theres seven of them.

1) I take it all to heart.  2) I never stop thinking about design/type/art/perfect shot/good lighting. never not when I'm out, not when I'm home, not even when I'm asleep. Thats both good and a little bit scary... 3) I believe you should say what you think. Obviously try and word it well tho ;) 4) if I'm tired/sick/sad/fed up/happy/delighted/excited I scrapbook. in fact photoshop is my most favourite thing ever... ;) 5) next year I'd like to upgrade my camera. and my imac. uh-oh! lottery win needed! 6 ) I am superstitious. in weird silly ways. 7) I like to doodle. all the time.

NEW photography blog in town...

Whilst also working on my selling photography website - oh that takes forever, I am not fluent in HTML!!!- a very dear long-standing-think-I-have-known-her-forever-and-oh-how-special-she-is friend and I have set up a little photography blog.  She lives in America, and I live in the UK.  We have a billion things in common and as ever, a billion things different. We miss each other.
       The point being we each take a picture from our weekend and post it. thats it. no words. no other pics.
 Just one photo from each of us each weekend.  

 Yes, a billion other photo blogs have been done before, but this one is special to us because its US. If you see what I mean!
 Once we have a whole year or so under our belts we'll make it a photo book.  You can always check it out -Its called From this angle.

I'm currently involved in two online classes... {Online is the way to go for me, I never get a regular evening free what with taxi-ing my herd around to THEIR classes and clubs!}

which you  can take even if you arent a scrapbooker - its all about improving your photography of your kids. sneaky little ways to catch them out... er I mean catch them smiling! All clever stuff. photography talk -I'm enjoying it there :)

and one with the worlds funniest lady, Pattie. Who just so happens to be a talented designer as well :)

She give away a few secrets on how to be so darn clever at scrapbooking effects and techniques. AND digital kits with each lesson from Designer Digitals! 

Of course I spent time with them both on my Disney trip, so I really do know how lovely they both are. But you'd find out pretty fast for yourself if you took their classes :)

like tea and sympathy, I have discovered horlicks and scrapbooking go together very well when youre recovering from stitches in your gum!!!! {sheesh that hurt!} Lukewarm horlicks I hasten to add, not hot, seeing how half my mouth cant feel a darn thing :)

 

You may have heard that the rather wonderful Cathy Zielske has joined Designer Digitals team of Designers. Oh yeah.  She creates these slick n simple templates I'm using here.  They make a page FAST and vereeee stylish! You'll note I cant help adding a little grungy sketchy something-ness. I cant help it :)

I suffered from Depression.

Oy. I still suffer from Depression, tho thank God nothing like it was once. And I wont be made to feel ashamed for saying so.

A cause VERY close to my heart is Mind's time for change campaign.

Because of some recent press articles and stupid local council choices* I am choosing to become a lot more active and outspoken {yes, me, outspoken, mwahahaha... nothing ever changes eh?!} about mental health and the stigma surrounding it.  
 Gosh I'm so sick of it.
If I had a heart problem for example, theres no way you'd think of blaming me. Or of muttering about 'some types of people' and yet, with any mental health issues this is what we face every.single.day. 

This isnt where I want to divulge my history in detail, but suffice to say if my Postnatal depression hadnt been picked up {better late than never}, my PTS depression never would of been either. And I wouldnt be here, -blogging way to often and taking this many pictures.
Help and support makes or breaks someone everyday. And trust me, more people suffer from something mental health related than dont. The ones I worry about are those adamant they dont!!!

I'm living proof that its better to speak out, get help and change your life for the better. I know, that's a worrying thought me being a good example ;) but seriously. But its so hard to say something, anything and face the fact out loud you have 'hang ups' quirks, issues, problems, crushing amounts of stress.... So when you do, when you managed to speak out, the VERY LAST thing you need is a big ignorant mouth saying anything negative. 

 A comment about Anti-depressants they dont have an experience of. Or those four words certain to send you flying back behind the sofa - 'Snap out of it'. A comment about mad people, overly emotional people, or 'being like that'.
 God love 'em I've had it all said to me. Most of it well intentionally too. sheesh. I've never made comment on their weight, their bad breath, their table manners, their sex life, but it hasnt stopped them voicing their thoughts on my state of mind.  fabulous. If only I was more like them. or not!!!

SO I'm joining the campaign. And you should too. This Saturday is World Mental Health day. And we're actually IN world mental health week. No time like the present!

 As soon as July begins to wane, ,my thoughts turn to gift shopping. Yes Christmas. really.

I absolutely DESTEST gift shopping in december, with high prices and low stock. So this year, like last year, and the year before, I'm hoping to start early. 

However, we arent cash rich this year {LOL, still waiting for 'the' year} and I hate high street mass produced stuff. {Okay not all of it, but lot sof it} so I search out the weird and the beautiful different stuff. And I'm linking as I find it. then not only can I go back to all linkarooney {silly made up word. I like them} posts later on, but so can you!
