Sweet nothings

Okay having blurfed {blog surfed}and surfed my way around the blog world and internet last night I was left feeling...angry. Really outraged. Why? 'Cause of course its nearly the season to do fabulous shopping. To come up with gifts that are not high street, that are special, unique, retro, vintage, divine -and all the other glorious descriptives out there.  I saw a link to a vintage infant school desk for example... which turned out to be HUNDREDS of £s. Um... I am more than sure it didnt cost that when it was new never mind used. I saw a link to vintage braid cushions... for £75.  ahahaha. and cute as heck owl tree ornaments for...£15. for a tiny thing? really?!!

Now maybe its me and I'm so outa touch, but frankly I'm so sick of the prices online for something called unusual, something beautiful and even -lets face it, something main stream.  Its not like I dont appreciate handmade and artists time, but somehow it all feels like its taking the mickey... SO I'm off to make my own things.  I want ot make more things for the girls so I'm racking my brains as to what and how. You can always link me or instruct me on good handmade toys/decorations. I'm thinking jointed card ornaments for the decorations and things like dominoes and matching 'pairs'cards with my digi supplies and art.  And I have some inked drawings to make into something. not sure what exactly yet LOL....

Hands up whose with me? shall we link to all we can and have made, and quash the overpriced stuff out of the market this year???

how its going...

I've not been writing as much, nor taking pictures as much, the last few days. Its just been so busy.
 Today I only took 5 pictures. Thats UNHEARD of for me. Friday was the same kind of thing. It was a conscious decision for a little free hands time. Tomorrow I'm excited to get back behind the lens full time :) Still, having only been 'here'  what feels like part time the last few days, I thought I'd have a round up of whats going on....

I'm finding myself drawn to Black and white processing more lately. {Portraits, inside shots. Not autumn leaves} I dont know why this is, I dont even like B&W photos much -LOL -correction; I didnt like B&W photos much. 

I won the lottery. Shame it was only a £1 scratch card.

Today I did 99% of my Christmas Shopping. Oh yes indeedy. Four hours. It would of been 100% but one is a secret santa that hasnt been drawn yet, so no idea who the gift is for. I liked gift shopping so much I could do it all over again. Anyone want me to go get their shopping for them??!

Mollie has the wobbliest tooth ever. But it is still stuck enough she wont let it be pulled out. Am I a bad parent to be thinking of making toffee apples to assist this progress???

Daisy is going to be super happy with her Christmas gift. LOVE the feeling of getting one gift Oh so right.

There are currently three films I desperately want to go see in the cinema. Who wants to take me???

I need more hiking/welly socks for the family. And they cost a lot. any deals out there you know of???

I spent ages talking to the photographer at the Gala dinner last night. He was Nikon but I forgave him. hahaha. It was so cool to talk photos with someone. and lenses. and Vivienne Westwood - who he shot for last week!!!!!!! I was very direct and asked him for his job :) 

I'm making a video :)

I still have tooth ache. Or gap ache seeing as there is no tooth there now. 'Gap ache' is the absolute pits. and is always horrendous at about 3am. nice.

Yey for teens being totally bribable. G was allowed on my mac If she let me download some of {and look through all} her facebook photos. Got to check up on teen daughter AND get new scrapping material :) :)
Teen boy walked the dog for miles, for cash. Saved my feet, got him {and the dog} exercised. Woot.

Sully is my hero. He's naughty, scruffy, and will eat anything -ANYTHING- he can find, -rubbish, manure, shoes and books included- but he is so happy ALL the time, and so loyal it rocks my world, it really does.

Teen boy has a new haircut. I can see his neck and ears!!! still cant see his forehead tho...

I have a new novel ready to crack open tomorrow night. *sigh* nothing like a new book.

Thats about all I can recall right now. :)
