Today was shopping day. shopping with a capital SH and ending in OMGosh. Town was busy, coffee shop was busy, roads were busy, the grocery stores {please note the S there - but dont ask!} were AGGGGGHHHHH kinda busy.
By the time the three girls and I had conquered our lists and filled two trolleys we had lost the will to exist really. There was the couple arguing all the way round {wasnt me, makes a change..} the old man helping his wife buy the entire sweetie aisle for their grandkids, the grumpy women on their own; wrestling a trolley full {poor them} 900 people who cant steer a trolley, and there was the lady who fell over and cut/hurt her leg and screamed - like; SCREAMED - and freaked everyone out. {she was okay, not as bad as her scream made out..}
There was also a lot of double takes and glances at our haul of food. I dont know about any other 'big families' out there, but seems the amount we buy to make it thro a week {one with Christmas in especially} is so unusual to everyone else in their little families.The teen boy who served us at the check out was literally slack jawed at our groceries.... By the time we have unloaded/paid, ten people in the line have asked about our family, how old the kids are, and oooh isnt that a lot of food/money/children. *roll eyes* Make conversation by all means but please... ! Question not the size of my wonderful family. {thats my job, hahahaha...} The teen boy who served us at the check out was literally slack jawed at our groceries....
Anyway, this pic, taken, on my trusty iPhone, because of the days of December layouts, makes me seriously chuckle. Just as I snapped it, Daisy rested her head on the edge of the trolley... looking for all the world like she was IN it. And perfectly summing up our shattered mood with her expression there :)
