ten on tuesday 7th August 2012

1) Did you know, the ten on tuesday blog posts are my Christmas present to myself?
I think they sum up little snapshots of my life/our life so perfectly, that I'm making a years worth into a little book.
Yes, I know at the time complaining about the rain/broken washing machine, raving about a new coffee shop, posting pictures of school assemblies might not seem to 'rocket science' and exciting news worthy.
But trust me.... in ten years time it will be awesome. Imagine if you had access to something similar from your Grandparents,  it would be such a treasure.
So here I am :) being a future treasure :) :)

2) A leap of faith. Hmmm, further on in my year of saying yes, is a bigger deal a bigger yes or two {and a few moments of OMG...} In the cold light of say... 3am; I often get a momentary pang of hello quiet life, can you come back now... but otherwise, I have no regrets so far. Try it, say yes, ask yourself what you'd like to do, and find out why you arent doing it, somehow some way. Experiences make a life thats lived, rather than one that just went by. Right? !!! ;)

3) Did I just go all preachy on you? LOL LOL I'm sorry.  I hate reading blogs that do that. Except... I am not trying to sell you something., convert your religion, or tell you how amazingly good my life is {it isnt really anything other than just okay} but I am surprised how different it is this year, to say heck, yes I'll go there, do that, try that, meet them...etc etc... and think everyone should give it a go. * here endeth the lecture ;) :)

4) Are you a lastminuter or an adavanced planner? What am I talking about? Holidays, vacations, trips - call it what you will, exactly how far ahead do you plan them?
I happen to be friends with a fair few people who plan waaaaaaaaaay in advance and its kinda baffling and interesting to talk to them. We, as a family, are not like that. Its a bit more last minute impulse for us. Okay its a lot more ...! A few times we have planned far in advance, I have nearly died from preparation and anticipation anyway ;)  

5)Whilst I would truly love to go out to space {and take pictures!} my name is not down for Mars ;) Bit far....and they may change their minds about bringing us back... !!!
Very cool and exciting to see the landing tho, dont you think? 

6) If you want a reminder how fast time flies, friend up witha pregnant lady ;) WOW! One of my best friends is due next month. I think I blinked and missed almost the entire pregnancy.... I suspect she may feel like its not been quite that fast... ;) I am excited to take gifts for the nursery to her soon and then next month go and meet a whole brand new person!!! 

7) Don't shoot me, but I am ahead on my Christmas gift ideas. Yes yes the C word, - deal with it people ;) - I know what I am getting everyone as a part of their gift, and have some genuis ideas to create too. Just you know, that free time needed to make them...!!!

8) Share feature on mountain lion - its synced to my flickr account. YEY! Sorry, its something that I find handy. and have only just discovered. and as my Lightroom is 400 billion years older than everyone elses version {but still working just fine thank you} I have not had a share to fb/flickr/etc before. Quite a few cool features on Mountain Lion that I'm only just discovering. this is what happens when you never get time to watch the 'new feature' videos at apple. Must do that. Maybe instead of sleep? 

9) Team GB. What can I say that hasnt been said MANY times on the 'tinternet already. But you know, We rock. {Or they do, I'm not sure I can take much credit for the athletic ability of Team GB however much I go down the gym} This is the best part of the Olympics isn it? Not the money making machine, not the ticket lottery {jokery} and disappointed people, not the hype that made us sick of it before it began {If you havent seen the Ab Fab episode about the Olympics, do watch it, soooooo funny and the bit about  the 'its been coming for seven years darling'? yeah. exactly ;) } but the 'little person' who got up for training at 4am for years and years and threw themselves into their sport. Competing, achieving, winning. :) :)

10) Quite possibly, if you are taking jewellery photos, and listening to the tweets about the Olympics, you might find yourself doing this... :)
