1) Dear Tuesday, sorry I nearly missed you. All you days seem the same while there is no school. Okay Wednesdays are different {Mr Britguy is home} and sundays are a little slower paced. But other than that...
2) Copying is the sincerest form of flattery. repeat after me... Actually no don't bother. I've been saying it all day and its not helped. THERE, I feel better for saying that out loud, and no, I'm not dwelling on it! :)
3) Is it September yet? September promises to be a lot more 'me' than August. I put my hand on my heart and say I've not enjoyed all of August so far. Plus of course its my birthday in September :) yey birthdays :) Cake and pretty dresses right? :)
4) Whilst going thro my address book/contacts list on my imac, I came across two names I didnt know. absolutely NO idea. Its worse than facebook suggesting 'people you may know' { I never have a clue who they are} this is someones name and address I have have actually added to my contacts!!! Slightly concerned....did I add them and forget? do I know them under another name? Maybe I AM old and past it as my teens like to point out!!!
5) Speaking of addresses... wow, how times change. I used to use 'snail mail' so much but now... obviously not. I have a lot of friends listed just under their email and mobile phone number. No real physical address. :( This makes mailing stuff rather hard. Please, send me your address. Yes you, all of you!!!! I'm trying to keep Royal Mail in business.
6) Daisy is truly suffering Olympics withdrawal. She has now watched the opening ceremony and closing ceremony many, many, MANY times on the iPad. And today, she wrote to the Queen to tell her how good it was.
Pure Daisy awesomeness :) {YES there is a layout coming about that!}
7) Oh no what a shame...I have to trial several brownie recipes to make sure I batch bake the right one. {I'm after something a bit different} Oh how terrible poor me ;) {did I sound convincing?!} hahahaha...
8) My car is going in for its service tomorrow. I really hate being without my car, even for just a day. I dont like being stuck at home {even if I was going to be at home... lol} and I dont like relying on other people for trips out/lifts.
MOSTLY it is however,I confess, {setting Womens lib back fifty years at least} I dont like being at the garage. Its such a male enviroment and I am a walking cliche when it comes to having a clue about cars. {You remember I was excited to recently learn where to fill the screen washer up..}- Luckily of course Mr Britguy is there to ensure the car is treated right/no bill is more than it should be, but still....I keep having flashbacks to the time they sent me to buy oil for my last car. Listen - I had no clue there was certain types of oil for certain types of cars. There are HUNDREDS of the damn oil types, all lined up. I got the make of car right, but when it came to... erm... the finer details of exactly WHAT car I owned.... I hadnt a clue. Mortifyingly the man had to go out of the shop, look at my car and tell ME what I drove. Very cringe worthy...
9) Actually, I am having a whole series of blonde moments recently. I'm not too sure if its my hair colour or my age or my general distractedness that's at fault. And to be fair, I dont want to hear what you think either ;) My current OMG record is turning up for a childs birthday party a whole month before its was on. I had the right place, the right day.... just not the right month. No, Daisy hasnt forgiven me yet.
10) Now would be a good time to point out I'm actually quite clever at some things, to make up for my blondness in other areas. And any moment now I'll think of loads of things and add them here... !!!
:/

I'm right there with you on August not being my favorite. Especially with the heat wave we've been having for 2+ weeks now. I much prefer fall, which usually doesn't really start for us until late September. *sigh* And I'm the same way about getting my car fixed too! Hate it. And just tell Daisy at least she didn't miss the actual party...that has to count for something, right? :)
