Welcome home...

...to me :)

I missed fab five on friday. I was on a bike/in a car/on a train/under the sea.... making my way home. so here is my fab five and not so fab five on saturday instead :)

Fab 1) I am glad to be home. Its a sad thing to leave somewhere pretty and fun, {and hot} and the packing up is a real pain, esp as that is very firmly my job  but home is, well home :) with teenagers, chickens and cat. 

Not so fab 1) being stuck in traffic is no fun. ever. being stuck with me in traffic is probably ten times worse. I hate it. I cant sit still, I cant settle, I huff and puff and tut.... I snap, I seethe, I complain, I open and shut every single cubby hole in the car ten times, I change the song, I .... yeah, so you get the idea. traffic frustrates me. I cannot control it, nor fix it = so it drives me mad. big time. Yesterday consisted of traffic jams in four different countries. nice. :( 

fab 2) downloading trip photos. seeing the story rewind and tell itself again. catching a couple of real crackers. editing them just so. 

NSF 2) downloading trip photos.waiting for the camera to finish downloading. 400 and 76 billion {or thereabouts} hating some of them, seeing missed/blurred moments.  naming and saving them all. ack. 

fab 3) the house is clean. a bit dusty, but clean. tidy. Listen - its had a 20yr old and 18 yr old in it by themselves for a week. Not having to start my day home with bleach - like after our last trip away !!- is a happily joyful wonderful miracle. I love my teens.

NSF 3) I'm no idiot. I had friends round, lazed about and held secret parties whilst my parents were away {unless you are my Mother reading this, then no I didnt, Mum :) } I know the signs. I see the candles all lined up, the splash of something on the sitting room wall, the moved items of mine, the rug hastily rolled up after protecting the new cream carpet. I see alllllllll the tiny little things they thought I wouldn't. But I'm going with it, it was clean and tidy when I got home. end of story ;)

fab 4) I have so much of my favourite soap to catch up on! i'm excited to watch it!

NSF 4) Yeah, just need the time to actually do that....

fab 5) Behold me! the queen of fast laundry!!! I have just done load number five people, since yesterday tea time. {its lunch time here} Its washed, its dried and I ROCK!

NSF 5) Ah, ironing. damn ironing. five loads, even cheating with the 'ah, that doesnt really need ironing' shake I am still knee deep in ironing. My chore for this evening. woot...

We did this every day. The ducks LOVED us ;)
