1) Tuesday was like super mail delivery day. All my parcels arrived at once... Two new books, a new hairdryer, and a new iphone cover. It puts as birthday-like feel in the day to open that many parcels I can tell you :)
2) It didnt stop raining for more than about 40 minutes today. You cant HELP but mention the weather, its now affecting all areas of everything :( I know we are 'this green and pleasant land' but seriously??? I LIKE rain and even I am now so freaking sick of the damp...
3) The cat and the chickens would like to say 'us too' to the above statement. Neither creatures like water. There is nothing more miserable than a wet bedraggled chicken. I'm going to have to get photos, they are that sad looking...
4) In case you dont have kids, or have grown up kids, you might live in a world where this next 16 days aren't as busy.. As term ends on the 20th July in both schools, we have sports days, special award assemblies, dressing up, fetes, trips, new teacher visits, olympic events..... I'm slightly overwhelmed. I don't know if we are coming or going to be honest.
5) I'd tell you the story of staying up late to do gluten free baking for the school fete, so Mollie could buy cakes, but the school didn't see fit to sell them, except it isn't funny yet and I'm still pretty mad...
6) I'm just downloading some new ship photos. Ships in the rain photos to follow!! There were seven ships of the same cruise line in dock today. and a flurry of people to see it. But a lot of rain. So it wasnt quite the spectacle the cruise ships were expecting. Particularly the fireworks going off as they left. In broad daylight, thick grey cloud and pouring rain. Kinda lost something there...
7) Grown up son has moved back home for a couple of months. he has accumulated a lot of stuff since he left home and I have serious doubts about it all fitting back in his room here. I think he may find it hard moving back home in some ways. The girls however think its awesome. Daisy is permanently attached to his arm :)
8) Once upon a time I thought all groupon type deals were fabulous, now I find they are just full of crap. Rubbish at rubbish prices. Or am I getting old and cynical here?
9) Rain or not, I couldn't resist new gladiator sandals the other day. These. They are truly lovely on. I may never wear them this year, weather being such an arse, but ooooo. Pretty. I have a bit of a shoe storage issue going on this year - its a girl thing right? - and need fantastic ideas on how to store shoes please. Other than precarious piles of shoe boxes that tumble from wardrobe...
10) I'm excited to write a guest post for a favourite blog of mine soon. All about where I live. I was going to wait til it stopped raining for beautiful photos of my home town. but ...er... three weeks later it hasn't, so I'm just going to get on with it!!! Soggy Southampton it is then...!! Look forward to sharing it with you :)

I'm the same about the groupons. It has become junk mail. And I'm so over the way their ads use stock photos that tell you nothing about the product. And even worse, some of them arrive in my inbox AFTER the deal has expired.
It's funny when the children think they've left home but still expect to have "their" bedroom at their disposal. And expect to be able to fit in it when they return! DD#2 said to me in dismay "where am I going to put all my stuff?"!

Ooo those sandals are lovely! Can't wait to see that guest blog, but I'm thinking it can wait until after term is over to help your peace of mind! :)
