Well, actually it was seven, and they weren't actually sailing... but...
The P&O cruise ship Grand Event was in town today...
And so was a lot of grey cloud, rain and more rain. So, it wasn't quite the big to do planned...
The Cruise ship website has a fab 'track our ships' feature. Normally the ships are dotted all over the world. But today they were in a line all in the same place :)
I got a few pictures, before going home to dry off...
Four of the seven were on this side of town...
and the other three were over the other side... {you may have to peer a bit to see the second boat tucked behind the buildings there...you can just see its buff coloured funnel}
And that ship right on the far right?
That's the one I shall be on later this year.
Hello ship :) *waves*
I am looking forward to taking pictures from the deck, of the people on the shore, and not my usual way round of people on the deck, from the shore!
My favourite image :) I know these are very-important-tells-you-something ships flags and not bunting. But it looks like bunting and I love bunting ;)
And finally...
I love this picture of the people viewing the ships. I love how these ladies have sandals {- its july} with waterproofs {- its not stopped raining for four weeks} and a really fed up being wet expression. British summertime summed up right there folks... :)

I have been following Susan Branch whilst she was in England for 6 weeks in Beatrix Potter country. Seemed like they had nice weather . . . That being said, it's nasty, cold & rainy here too in Alberta Canada- very different from the heat wave they seem to be having int he US . . .
