I'm so nearly in the habit of this.. sort of...lol
fabulous thing 1) Mollie mayhem is hooooome! Miss Mollie survived her school two night residential trip and arrived home {somewhat grubby} today :) She happily told me she really didnt want to leave the camp ...lol; thats a good thing. I think. She hasnt stopped talking about it since, - and I am totally up to speed with campfire stories, puppets names and somewhat odd folklore that she learnt. The latin names for ten animals. Biodiversity lessons. And who was annoying, and who cried, and what she ate. She also randomly burst into tears at bedtime, absolutely tired and mentally taxed, bless her. We are so pleased she had a fab time, and that she is safely home. I am also quite glad she has stopped talking long enough to fall asleep ;) love her so much.
fabulous thing 2) Enjoying Maroon 5ive's new album. Its pretty boppy, really good :) After payphone got stuck in my head I thought I'd better go get the rest :) {Aside from the two with very clear and loud swear words. I cant play those in the car, because the girls take great pleasure in learning lyrics.... am I really really old or does anyone else find it annoying as hell? I mean; swear words are totally needed sometimes 'in' real life conversations...but in a song you sat and carefully wrote? are they needed? Or can nobody figure out anything else to rhyme with luck???!!!}
fabulous thing 3) I now own pairs of shorts, t-shirt dresses, and a bikini. yes hello summer. er... summer? hello? um... Anyhow, weather aside, I'm pretty excited to go shopping two dress sizes smaller than last summer. That's really fab.
fabulous thing 4) things are exciting in my photography world. From new clients, to fun shoots, to super print ideas, to trips planned with fellow photographers - all makes my heart sing. brilliant brilliant brilliant :)
fabulous thing 5) Next few weeks before schools end is total madness. I sort of look at the calendar {through the squinty eyes of denial} and my heart sinks. The pressure to remember the right kit/gifts/food/project/costume for the right child/school/day is not in my fab list. However, desperately looking for my silver lining I realised I am fortune enough to be the official photographer for lots of these things, and get to see the fun and games it is to the kids, not just the side of hassle it is to parents. I look forward to sports day, fete, cake sales, and assemblies with a slightly cheerier outlook. ;) :)
