mollie's day off

Sometimes, the 'inset' teacher training days in the two school calendars don't match up, usually they do; once or twice they don't. Much to Miss Daisy's disgust, today was a day off for Mollie, but not for her.
Luckily for me, Mollie is a very 'go with the flow' type, and was quite happy being toted around one photo shoot after another :)

So I rewarded her with a coffee smoothie and a gluten free lemon drizzle cake in Dish, a lovely little cafe/deli in Romsey. 

She's a sweetpea :)

 

Overly Daisy'd...

In the last few days, I have had the privilege to take more photos for the local Infant School. Of Assemblies, of important occasions, of plays, of Easter Bonnet Parades, of school pets... its been varied and fabulous :) I absolutely love doing it. Long may it continue! Only downside being I cant share any of those, as they are OPC {other peoples children}

But, Daisy is a pupil there, and shes been involved in most of these things too! So I've got my own personal photos of her :)

Watering the veggies; major achievement I found all the required parts of the hose after a winter of it being kicked around the garden.I found even more hose attachments than I needed actually,  I just cant work out what half of them do...

And then ta-da! there it is, super soup :) as all homemade soup is :)

 

ten on tuesday 27th March

1) Can you STOP with the words with friends thing. My facebook is all a clutter with the darn updates from people with more friends time than I have!!! ;)

2) I HATE WHITE FLOUR. Because Mollie cant have it, and they sneak it in EVERYTHING you never thought of. I have guilt from it being in things I gave her, thinking it wasn't, I have jumped thro hoops to try and replace her favourites with white flour free versions {and failed...} So, I hate it. hate it hate it hate it.  :(

3) Try not to say no! quite so fast, the next time its the first word that springs to mind. I am struggling with people not stepping out of their comfort zones lately. This is because I am making a huge effort to step out of mine and its making me like a smoker-thats-now-a-nonsmoker, you know? I'm sorry, I know I'm annoying the heck out of some people, but please, try a little yes in your life ;)

4) DID YOU KNOW Georgia's songs have been downloaded by many radio stations? and in 12 countries no less? Its rather thrilling. For some reason shes downloaded by radio stations most in Norway and California, currently. Yes I also think we should tour.... I'm actually packing as I write ;) quick; lets go before its the local radio station we can tour round...

5) I'm doing some very exciting new photos this weekend. I have a feeling tho my models for the morning are going to cause chaos on location!!!!!

6) You know youre up too late when all your friends 'online now' are in a whole other time zone.... its 1am tuesday morning. Well, in england it is anyway...

7) Hello my name is Britgirl and I have an amazon book dept addiction. Not sure I want a cure, just someone else to pay for the books? ;)

8) Entire veggie patch dug over, filled with fresh soil and watered. Brand new just a bit big for the green house shelf baby plants put out there. Fingers crossed the slugs/mice/birds/other plant eating critters dont eat them all over night. I will actually cry if they do. I'm a bit protective over my veggies. 

9) Apparently its Easter. and soon I have children home forever. sorry - two weeks, feels like forever. I even have children home from college and Uni I've been told. Save me now someone... I'm going to need a lot of washing powder, biscuits and probably something like gin to get thro it......Please please please can the sun shine all the time, and the {bloody wheat free}biscuits go down in price, thank you. 

10) My not going to bed til beyond stupid oclock sometimes bothers worries my family. I think my husband has found a cure tho... he makes the heating go off at 1.15am. Not just turn off, but suck the heat out the rooms to the point of me shivering. No, I don't know how he does that part either. but he does. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go to bed, its 1.30am and minus ten in here......

Okay, because I love my pal Sarah deeply, and because she too uses words like eleventy billion :) I'll take on her meme of 11 points and 11 questions. Altho I've gotta say the rules are fairly complex and I may already be lost ;)

YOu can either sit down - this could take a while, or scroll on by, I really don't mind. Just dont, as a friend of mine DID, tell me you speed read past the boring bits on my blog. Hello,was I offended!!!!!!! LOL...

11 things about me.
Holy heck,  I think, if you read this blog for any length of time,you'll already know all there is to know ;)

1) My camera's name is Bob. My imac's name is Bob - but he is Super Bob. No, this is not even slightly odd, 'kay?!

2) I really, really hate bad food. Not 'bad for you food' - chocolate is my middle name - but bad food, as in crap, badly made, no effort, no real ingredients, no finesse. Hate it.  

3) I want to create an exhibition for local photographers to share their photos of local scenes. You have no idea how hard this is proving to organise. 

4) I don't like water. Unless its to either drink, shower in or photograph.

5) I'm a local history geek. but shhh, dont tell anyone ;)

6) My iPhone is never ever more than six foot away from me. I think it actually runs my life, it has so many features and apps I use. This is probably not healthy, but I'll not dwell on it, thanks.

7) I'd like to use one of Sarah's points here, I grew up in the country but am raising city kids. yeah me too, how'd that happen?! 

8) I like everyone. Until they are rude to me or other people. I cant bear rude people. And then I really don't like them again.

9) I am a very strict parent when it comes to eating real food, morals and manners. However things like punctual bedtimes, very structured routines and that... meh, I'm easy. I have four kids....LOL

10) I had postnatal depression. And I won. took a while tho!

11) I am a bit obsessed with coffee shops. GOOD coffee shops ;)

1. How do you sit when you sit?
erm, badly ;) often one leg tucked up, or half tucked up, underneath me. or perched somewhere odd like the side of the arm of the sofa...

2. Whats the first thing you do in the morning?
Turn off my alarm, sit bolt up right and get up into the shower. Because if I DONT move that very moment, I never will... 

3. Disposable or re-usable diapers/nappies
I used to use Unbleached eco disposables.  I dont miss that age in the slightest!!!!

4. Do you get travel sick and do any of your kids (if you have them) I used too, but am better now. Unless I do something like read... then ugh, I'm a mess. Georgia does suffer a bit, Daisy does a bit, but Kal and Mollie are freaky can-read-whilst-travelling-types.

5. Are you a bit of a geek?
In some things I am a lot of a geek. Blog world, my kind of camera world, night sky world, local history world, iPhone and imac world. Um... that would be yes then wouldn't it?!

6. Whats the largest amount of money (cash) that you have ever seen? In cash at once? Well, not counting the time I saw inside a cash machine, I have once seen £3000 in cash, in a biscuit tin.....

7. Have you ever been on the London eye and whats the thing that you remember about it?
Yey, love the Eye :) Been a few times now and I will go again and again :) My favourite time was the private pod, with champagne...*sigh*
 I do remember the first time totally freaking out about getting on and off, as it keeps moving whilst you do so... 

8. Are you into the Olympics?
Sorry? the what? ;) LOL LOL
 
9. Who do you think is going to win the apprentice?
I'm the only person in the universe not watching this series... I never get enough time to watch a whole series and then drive everyone mad asking, who is that? where did so and so go? what happened last time? 

10. Do you know who Katsuma is?
Oh yes. Mollie discovered Moshi Monsters right back when they started, years ago. I personally am a little tired of them now. And their moneygrabbing products and website... *ahem* ;)

11. Whats the longest time you have left it to take something back to a shop and still got a refund?
I hardly ever take things back. I'm truly rubbish at it. However just the other day Mr Britguy took a ski jacket back, {because he'd bought another 'better' one} that was more than 60 days later. And he got his money back too. He's just good at handling shop people. Me,  I apologise and  back away... ;)
