1) Just a little minute long snapshot of Teen Daughter being a rock star singing at an open mic night at her Show Choir.
Pretty awesome huh?! Mr Britguy's iPhone video skills need some polishing ;) but I have photos I took too :)
2) like these-
3) I'm so glad I got all my seedlings out and veggie patch digging finished yesterday. Because today it rained a bit and tomorrow its apparently raining a lot.... So much is growing, its fabulous. I live in now constant fear of snails running some kind of snatch and grab raid in the middle of the night...
4) Daisy went on her first ever school trip today. As I watched the teachers get 26 four and five years olds ready for an outing to the farm, I was not full of envy ;) Good infant school teachers are amazing. HOW they do it is right up there with WHY they do it... lol ;)
5) I'm knee deep in good recipes. At some point I will actually write them down. I'm working my way thro new recipe apps and its working out great. I like the real cooking part and the family like the something new part :) Mostly ;)
6) Part of the family is off to sunny beaches for some of Easter Break. I look forward to sunshine and photo opportunities aplenty! Its booked, I'm ahead on the packing front and the actual travel part is short n sweet. All sounding far to straight forward for us dont you think?!
7) Laundry anyone? I cant get on top of mine. as soon as I conquer the ironing the washing part gets crazy. as soon as I do the drying etc etc... *sigh* I dont mind laundry, if nobody ruined it by wearing the damn clothes the next day...
8) Mollie has decided she likes Barry Manilow :) :) This because she got up on talent show morning at her school and sang 'cant smile without you'. She has no idea who he is really, or if its cool or not to like him, she just does :)
9) The parcel delivery man wasnt too impressed with the extra large sack of chicken feed he had to deliver today. Nobody tell him about the sack of hardwood wood chip that I've ordered for the floor of the run...
10) Ice, ice, baby. Really - I have one, possibly two, broody hens ... seeing as our eggs aren't fertilised its just the natural chicken instinct kicking in. Its a real pain - broody hens sit all day in the nest box, growling - yes growling- at any one or any chicken who dares come near. The other chickens cant get in to lay their eggs... They also get hot as they get broody and pluck their feathers out of their chests to cool down... {Sounds a lot like the menopause to me... the growling and the heat, not the feather plucking... !! I hope!!} SO one 'cure' for snapping them out of it is a clutch of ice cubes in the next box, or a chest dunk in a bucket of cold water. Once their temperature lowers so does their broodiness. I'm sure they will love me tomorrow...

What a beautiful voice she has!
