All about Daisy

in less than five hours Daisy went from this

{really poorly with another UTI, temperature of 39+, and on antibiotics}

:( :(

We  are trying some antibiotics at home, but may have to switch to hospital and IV drugs.  

If you could send prayers, cyber hugs, well wishes, positive thoughts ... what ever it is you personally do,to this little sweet girl of mine, please,  because we're taking all the help and hope we can get right now.

why are they always in twos...

I seem to create things in twos. I dont know why, a Britgirl quirk if you will....

bubble buster

Yesterday whilst Miss M was at Kung fu, Miss D got upset at being left out. {tho seriously, knowing how feisty Daisy is, I'm not seeing Kung fu in her near future...}

So Daddy took her out to the park and somehow she talked him into a toy store trip too...

They scored a good game actually - as opposed to more plastic baby animals- and yesterday the girls played Bubble Buster in the garden.

You have to pop the bubbles and the wand you use keeps score and 'tings' when you pop them... first to 20 gets winning tune played on their wand. {You have to catch the bubble just right, so it causes a complete circuit to be made between the two prongs, this is what makes it ting! clever}

I took a mountain of photos as they dashed about - so unlike me I know, haha- and made this layout with my favourites... {click on it to see it bigger}

 

I was certainly spoilt the last few days for my POTD... funny how that works. 

Friday I took 7 photos. just 7. Saturday I took over 90, Yesterday was 77. Today about 15 so far. 

There are days when I cannot 'see' a photo anywhere {these are usually at home feeling bored kinda days} and then days when I cant take them fast enough...love those.

Georgie is on spring break already - she gets 3 wks. three weeks. Lordy-  but Moll and Kalon dont break up til the weekend. I cannot wait. I need later mornings than school run mornings, and some company and trips out during the day instead of housework and nothing-ness.

Georgia, by the way, is helping Mr BG at work for a few days. Not only to save my sanity a little, but to attempt to get Georgia to understand the whole work-money concept.....

 Could be a long haul!

a little lift

Yesterday was such a great day, I had so much fun with my little family. 

So no real surprise today is a bit flat. I'm tired and my body's inner working arent too hot at telling tired from low/sad, so I'm feeling both today.

It gave me a nice little lift to find out my 'Daisy and the seagulls' layout has been picked for Gallery Standouts.

Today Mollie started Kung fu classes. She totally held her nerve and stood up with a whole class of children she doesnt know - this is a big deal for Mollie- and took part.
Shes been wanting to do these classes for so long...
She did AMAZINGLY and picked it up super, super fast, {like we knew she would}

Its really spring...

because the blossom is out everywhere.

tho the breeze makes it hard to focus - and does interesting things to the bokeh-

but then my Moo mini prints arrived

and I thought no, maybe this will be my POTD....

But then that idea went out the window with the arrival of a handsome guy with a new haircut. {new haircut? must be spring!}

After editing the pictures from the harshly lit theatre, with the sumptuous silks and colours zinging about I needed to rest my editing eyes! some white space, some simple lines.so this picture from a couple of months ago got a chance to shine -

Thats what I like most about my scrap booking now days. Picking the photos and layouts that get to shine and be seen.  

My layouts all gets put in  photo-books {usually one of Blurbs 7x7 inch soft-backs, LOVE them} and they stand on the side in the sitting room. 

here are some of them..

To be browsed by visitors, babysitters, friends and family members. Some times everyday, sometimes not for weeks. Some times all at once, sometimes just one particular one. 

I make a general book of all my layouts every few months, and I make 'special' books like the life lessons one, the all about me one, December daily etc etc.  Occasionally those are for me, but mostly they gifts for family members. It feels like the final stage of creating the layouts too.. plus I think they have more chance of surviving, of being there for future generations in book format. No cumbersome 'slot them in' pages, no more leaving them on disks in folders and files. 

I cannot wait to have a huge row of them lined up!
