...I was talking to a friend today, and as we parted he asked what I had planned for the rest of today. not much I said, meal planning and then grocery shopping. to which his eyebrows hit his hairline and he repeated 'meal planning?!' with an incredulous tone. Yes seriously. me- the arty, implusive, unorganised, and er...arty one makes meal plans. ye gads. how scary. Okay so I'm not quite stepford material yet; I am far to fickle to set out days of the week for certain foods 'tuesday is ground beef day' kind of thing just wont work here with me. but the only way to have some restraint both in the amount of groceries I like to chuck in the shopping trolley and the amount my family of six like to eat 'as a snack' is to have on paper what the main meals for the week are. Thing is I'm stuck this week. so far my list reads
sooooooooo one meal down six more to think of!!!
Last week we had; Penne with goats cheese and green beans, Parmesan risotto, pizza, leek and bacon pie, tuna steaks, and tonight its hot-dogs. (veggi hotdogs of course..) which might help inspire any of you writing meal lists, but not me. off to surf the blogs to see what everyone else is eating...
